Wet Works; Verity Nunan, Taya Solomon

The land wears its history; in every mound and crevasse, grain of sand or puddled water, there is a well of knowledge that runs deeper and truer than what can be learned in books or surfed on the web. Wet Works offers an exploration of this history and the imbedded lessons in the so-called ‘Australian’ landscape. Through oil paintings, installation and performance, artists Verity Nunan and Taya Solomon translate their reciprocal relationship with the land, offering teachings in both history and possibility.
